Welcome to the Plum Tree Newborn Photography experience. I have created a lovely little studio in my back garden, which is nestled in a small village in the Worcestershire countryside. It is equipped with everything you could wish for when creating memories of your precious newborn. I have a varied assortment of super soft outfits for both genders, all of which compliment the wide choice of blankets and backdrops I have on offer. I also have an ever increasing array of props that I use to create stylish and timeless images that will adorn your walls for many years to come.

I say it’s, "an experience", as unlike many newborn photographers, I encourage parents to be part of the photograph creation. I like them to see what is going on and to assist if desired, so that each pose is a combined effort and therefore so much more rewarding when the final images are viewed and also - time flies when you’re having fun!

Newborns

Newborn sessions usually take place when the baby is less than 14 days old, ideally 5 to 12, during this time is when newborn babies are most sleepy and still curled up from being in the womb. This makes them easier to put into different poses for photographs and they are usually less colicky. As there is such a small timeframe for newborn photographs to take place in, it is advisable to book when the due date is known. I can pencil you in and try my best to amend the booking if your baby arrives early or late. Don’t panic, just let me know as soon as your baby is born and we’ll go from there.

Each photographic shoot is expected to take between 2 and 4 hours. The length depends entirely on the baby, there is no pressure, only a relaxed environment where patience and nurture are paramount. There is plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddling and of course photographing.
